In the nineteen century, when the phenomenon known as the industrial revolution was swiping across, one of the standouts about it was manufacturing. What this meant is that raw materials would be used in the mass production of consumable products that would be used by people. In order for the manufacturing of products to happen, the mass labor needed for manufacturing was an aid with the use of machines.
Through the course of time, certain market gaps within the market environment needed different forms of manufacturing to fill them. This means that different manufacturing process exist which can further be categories into three. The first one is known as the make to stock process or in short MTS. This process involves the manufacturer producing products which will be stocked on completion of them being produced. The driving force that is behind this form of the manufacturing process is that one is able to have a market prediction on the number of products it needs. The second class of manufacturing process is MTO or rather Make To Order. This form of manufacturing is based on whereby there is demand for a product through orders. It resulted in first of all there being a given number of orders for a given product for the manufacturing of that product to take place. The third classification is the Make To Assemble more commonly abbreviated as MTA. In this manufacturing process, the production units are produced on the anticipation that there be a market for such units in the assemble industry.
When it comes to manufacturing, it a collection of the various processes which makes it a complex affair. This means that by ensuring that these factors are in harmony with each other can the manufacturing company be successful in its production. Raw materials are the start point of any form of manufacturing. One thing that can be noted is that it is important that one a manufacturer can be able to guarantee that they will have the needed raw materials needed for manufacturing. In order to satisfy the requirement of sufficient raw materials, then a manufacturer has to establish a constant supply chain. This can be ensured by providing suitable transportation such that the factors like weather or distances do not hamper access to the materials needed for production.
The other factor which is important and that comes into play in the that of the equipment used in the manufacturing. So as to be able to produce the units needed in any particular market, then having the right machinery will make it possible. Efficiency is one thing that any manufacturing company needs and this can be achieved when the correct tools of trade are present. This helps in ensuring that issues such as quality control are maintained by using up to today machinery as meeting market demand is not enough.
